| Ken has been a member of the Nanaimo Flying Club for 20 years. He has been working hard over the last year to help the club raise money to support the local Nanaimo Air Cadets. Ken organized the Nanaimo Air cadets to help out with the first annual Nanaimo Airshow in 2011, the air cadets volunteered their time helping with ticket and Hamburger sales.
The Nanaimo Flying club donated $600 to Cadets for their hard work at this event. Ken is looking forward to other fundraising events throughout the year to help the Nanaimo Air cadets.
The Nanaimo Air Cadets rely on local organizations, like the Nanaimo Flying Club for financial support for activities like; Biathlon, band, first aid training, hiking etc. Ken also donates his time. Ken drives the cadets up to Mount Washington during the Winter weekends, so the cadets can participate in Biathlon training and competitions. Ken makes sure that the cadets are around planes as much as possible and donates his plane to take them flying.  | ||||||||||||||||||||||
